Tapestry, Sicilian landscape, 2024 @michaela_cervena

Sicily wrapped around me like sun-warmed silk cliffs dissolving into the sea, shadows stretched thin beneath the weight of time. The air carried salt and whispers, the hush of linen swaying in hidden courtyards.

I gathered it all—the gold of noon, the deep indigo of twilight, the quiet rhythm of waves lapping against stone. In my hands, they became threads, longing to be woven.

And so, stitch by stitch, I rewove the island—not as it was, but as it felt. A tapestry of sun, sea, and memory.
